Friday April 20th

Well everyone chemo went well today. Ellie had recieved healing turtles from Max's Love Project to give out to other sick children in Our Ladys Hospital. She gave two out today, one to a 14 year old boy named Aaron who has Leukemia. She gave the other to a five year old boy named Ben who also has Leukemia. Ben was so happy with his turtle, and Ellie was delighted to give it to him.

April 19th

Hi all today was a great day! Ellie was feeling good and she actually ate today. We went to her school to visit all her classmates and show off her new hairstyle, they were all thrilled to see her. Tomorow is chemo round 5. We will be halfway through the induction phase tomorow. Please keep praying that she doesnt loose all her hair as she really loves the new hairstyle!!!

Hi all we went shopping today for some nice hairbands for the new hair do but ellie got very tired very quick. The appetite is still a big issue and im hoping it will get better. We dont want anymore weight loss this week!!!1 If anyone out there has any suggestions for foods to try while on chemo i would be grateful for your advice.

This is Ellies new hair cut and she absolutely loves it!!!!

New hairdo!!

Ellie got her hair cut into a bob today. Her hair falling out was annoying her so much, so she asked me to take her to have it cut. I was so upset to cut it but when I saw how happy Ellie was then I was happy too. She's so brave and I love her strength and positivity.

sunday april 15th

well hi all. Ellie spent last night in ourladys hospital due to a high temp and vomiting. Thankfully we are home now after a night on a drip to rehydrate her. She had great fun playing with the remote control bed and still managed a smile through all her illness. Shes a trooper!!

saturday april 14th

hi all Ellie had a rough night last night lots of nausea and vomiting. Poor Pet!!!! Chemo sucks sometimes especially watching your little girl go through all this, but i know it will be all worth it in the end. you are our little trooper Ellie . Keep Fighting

Friday 13th April 2012

Hi all, had 4th round of chemo today and all went well.

Ellie won the Easter Art Competition and that made her day!
She was given a big arts and crafts set as her prize.
No nausea today so far lets hope she stays well

Cards for Ellie

This is my 8 year old daughter Ellie . We live in Ireland and she has NF1. We do not know anyone else in Ireland who has Neurofibromatosis . She made her 1st Holy Communion early, without her class, because on March 19th she went into the hospital to have a port ( IV access ) placed in her wee chest and she will spend the next 18 - 24 months getting chemo treatments to try to stop the growth of the brain tumor on her optic nerves ( optic glioma ) and  save her vision . 




I am asking you to please keep her in your prayers . Ellie would LOVE to get cards.   So we are asking everyone to send her cards to keep her spirits up. 

Ellie is fanatical about Jedward and it would make all her dreams come true if she got a card from them. So if you know Jedward or someone close to them, please pass on.
